Online Banking Agreement and Disclosure

This Online Banking Agreement and Disclosure (the "Agreement") discusses how you can use Online Banking ("CBOS Online") to obtain information about your accounts, to transfer funds between your accounts, and to utilize other banking services. These terms and conditions are in addition to those that apply to any accounts you have with Community Bank of Snyder or any other bank services you use. If you use Online Banking, you thereby indicate your consent to these terms and conditions. You may print a copy of this Agreement for your records now, or you can refer to this document at at any time.


Security and Protecting Your Accounts

CBOS is strongly committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of our customer account information. CBOS uses state-of-the-art technology in the ongoing development of its Online Banking Service to ensure this security. We use several different methods to protect your account information:

Your security responsibilities as a user of CBOS Online are:


CBOS Online is available 365 days a year. However, it is necessary to interrupt the service on a scheduled basis to perform periodic system maintenance and upgrades. These upgrades are scheduled so the down time of the system will be minimal for your convenience. During these periods, customers may not be able to access the system and should contact the bank if assistance is needed. CBOS may, at our discretion, extend the maintenance periods outlined above as necessary to complete move extensive maintenance, system upgrades, or to resolve service problems.


To register for CBOS Online, you must first contact the New Accounts staff at the bank to receive your temporary login information. You will be required to verify your identity by providing the bank representative with sufficient personally identifying information. After you receive your temporary login information you must read, review, and accept the terms of the Online Banking Agreement and Disclosure. When you accept these terms you will be prompted to enter the information provided to you bank the bank representative along with additional personal information. This information will be collect to verify your identity for possible future customer support issues. After you have completed these steps you will be prompted to change your Access ID and Password to ones of your choice. The Access ID must be 6 characters in length and the Password must be between 8 and 17 characters in length and meet complexity requirements. Both the Access ID and Password are case-sensitive. CBOS encourages all customers to use unique login codes and to if possible refrain from using names, birthdays, etc.

Electronic Mail or Internet Communications

Electronic mail transmissions are public domain. Because of this fact, CBOS will not at any time send personal customer account information by means of electronic mail. CBOS asks all customers to abide by this practice as well. Any communication with the bank concerning your account information will be by postal mail or by telephone.

Online Funds Transfers

If you are a customer of CBOS and have a valid Access ID and Password, you may make transfers between your bank accounts using CBOS Online. However, you are responsible for all transfers you or your authorized representative make using CBOS Online. By submitting an online transfer, you authorize the bank to withdraw funds from the specified account and deposit or credit the funds to the specified account and agree to waive any pre-determined account provisions requiring more than one signature for withdrawal. You may transfer funds between Checking, Savings, Money Market, and Loan accounts using the online service. The dollar limit for funds transfers is equal to the available balance in the specified account. For the funds transfer to be completed, sufficient funds must be available and collected in the transfer from account. If the transfer from account does not have sufficient funds CBOS can deny the transfer or choose to complete the transfer. However, you are responsible for any overdraft fees applied to an insufficient funds transfer. The date and amount of all submitted transfers using the online system are available for viewing under the Transfer List within CBOS Online. To delete or correct a submitted transfer request please call Customer Service at (325)573-2681. If we do not make a transfer on time or in the correct amount according to your instructions, we will be liable for any additional service fees caused by the exception. However, there are some exceptions including the following:

Unauthorized Use

Tell us immediately if you believe that your Access ID and/or Password have become known by an unauthorized third party. Telephoning is the best way to keep your losses at a minimum. If you tell us within two business days after you learn that youíre Access ID and Password has become known by an unauthorized user, you can lose no more than $50.00 if the unauthorized party used your information to complete funds transfers. If you do not tell us within two business days, and we can prove that we could have stopped the unauthorized use had we been notified, you can lose no more than $500.00. If an unauthorized transfer has occurred on your account and you do not tell us within 60 days, you may not receive any money back that was lost.

When you contract the bank to report an unauthorized transfer we may require you to submit the incident in writing. The bank will begin an investigation upon receiving the information from you and will take no more than ten business days to complete the investigation. If we determine there is an error that was no fault of your own, we will credit the money bank into your account. If we find that the error was not caused by the bank you may not receive a refund or any lost funds. You have the right to request copies of the documents used in the bank investigation.

If you think your statement is not correct or if you need more information about a transfer listed on the statement, contact us as soon as possible. You must contact us within 60 days after we sent the statement in question. If you tell us verbally, we may require that you submit your problem or question in writing and may also require you to sign an affidavit.

Service Termination

You are responsible for complying with all of the terms of this Agreement and with the terms of the agreements governing the accounts to or from which transfers are made using CBOS Online. We can terminate you electronic banking privileges under this Agreement without notice to you if you do not comply with this Agreement, with any agreement governing your bank accounts, or if any such account is not maintained in good standing. We can also terminate the service if we believe that actual or potential unauthorized use of your Access ID, Password, or account may have occurred or could potentially occur.


We can amend this Agreement upon notice to you by an announcement conspicuously displayed within this website. Any notice will be effective no later than ten days after we post the notice (unless law or regulation requires a longer notice period), whether or not you have retrieved or viewed the notice by that time.

New Services

We may, from time to time, introduce new services that are part of Online Banking. We will update this Agreement to notify you of these new services. By using Online Banking after those new services become available, you agree to be bound by the terms contained in the revised agreement.

Virus Protection

You agree that Community Bank of Snyder is not responsible for any electronic virus that you may encounter using Online Banking. We encourage you to routinely scan your personal computer using any reliable virus detection product and remove any viruses found. Undetected or unrepaired, a virus may corrupt and destroy your programs, files, and even your hardware.

Our Liability

Except as specifically provided in this Agreement or where the law requires a different standard, you agree that neither Community Bank of Snyder or any third party providers engaged to perform any services related to Online Banking, shall be responsible for any damages, loss, property damage, or bodily injury incurred as a result of using or attempting to use the Online Banking service, whether caused by the equipment, software, Internet browsers, Internet Service Providers, or any other entity involved in your using the Online Banking service. Nor shall Community Bank of Snyder or any third party providers engaged to perform any services related to Online Banking, be responsible for any direct, indirect, special or consequential, economic, or other damages arising in any way from the use of the Online Banking system.

Charges and Fees

Any charges of service fees incurred by the use of Online Banking are outlined in the Schedule of Fees and Services document provided to you when you initially opened you account with Community Bank of Snyder.

Hardware and Software Requirements


A personal computer (PC: Pentium 120 Mhz or higher/Macintosh, Power Mac 9500, Power PC 604 processor: 120-MHz Base or higher), operating system and telecommunications connections to the Internet capable of receiving, accessing, displaying, and either printing or storing Communications received.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement, as it may be amended from time to time, contains the entire understanding between you and Community Bank of Snyder concerning the Online Banking service, and supersedes any verbal conversations, other communications, and previous agreements, if any.

Your Agreement to the Terms and Conditions

Your registration for Online Banking with Community Bank of Snyder confirms your agreement to be bound by the all of the terms and conditions of the Agreement and your acknowledgement that you received and understand the terms of this Agreement.
